Tues. night...

Tonight a lot of the girls went out to dinner at the Little Italy Restaurant for our friend Mallory’s 21st birthday. It was a lot of fun getting different pastas and just talking about England, what stuff we miss back home and what other trips we want to take.
Then we all met up at Witherspoons where there was a whole section for us to sit and get drinks. Some of the other half of our group was already there and we joined them. I had a lot of fun. We discussed driving around the round abouts (big circles instead of intersections) and how scary and hard it seems to understand which car can go in which lane, and how to get out of the round about as well. I couldn’t quite understand it so I won’t even bother trying to explain the rules of the road here lol :D
We also were talking about swear words that are used in the British language compared to American swear words. I don’t know how this topic came up really, but it was very funny. I found out that if something is very good then people here say, “Oh that’s the dog’s bollocks.” But just saying, “Bollocks.” is actually a bad thing to say. Also a twat is a bad name for a girl, and wanker is also another known and bad term.
Since we had school the next morning, I didn’t stay out too late.
School was all right except that my alarm didn’t wake me up! I woke up at 8:15, threw on some clothes and rushed out of the house. I found out that the alarm is somewhat broken, so I’m going to use my phone to see if it will wake me up tomorrow. Hope so!
All right, well I’m tired and need some sleep :D
Tomorrow night we’re going to the Student Union to support Megan for the open mike night! Should be fun! And then on Friday, we’re off to visit the Dover Castle and see the underground tunnels! Yeah!
